Job Description

This position offers an opportunity to work for an organization responsible for engineering and operating an Analytics platform for The Weather Company’s Consumer Product, Business to Business, and Watson Advertising Divisions. We are on a fast-paced transformation of expanding our analytical offerings to include more B2C and B2B big-data analytics products. Our Analytics cloud platform consists of highly scalable 24x7 data ingestion and big data analytics and predictive modeling.

In this role as the DevOps team lead, you will provide DevOps leadership and execution to enhance, modernize and support our cloud platform based big-data data lake and distributed processing center. You will …

help bring cloud infrastructure definition and design of big-data solutions for ingest, storage, and analytical processing.

design and implement developer automation and CI/CD improvements to big-data distributed storage and processing solutions.

define and implement data quality metrics and process monitoring systems for all supported cloud systems

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge and in-depth experience in the areas of Enterprise development, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, and Systems operations and Monitoring.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Extensive and current Cloud Platform expertise (AWS and IBM preferred)

DevOps best practices and tooling expertise

Systems and Operations Support expertise

Data Quality and Service Process Monitoring expertise

Current or past expertise designing and developing Distributed Processing Systems

Linux Systems experience

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

4 years DevOps experience

4 years Cloud Platform experience

AWS certifications a big plus
