What You’ll Get to Do:
Provide CSOC Tier 2 services, which is 24x7x365 prolonged, in-depth analysis of potential intrusions based on alerts, events, and tips provided by Tier 1 and other internal and external stakeholders.
CSOC Tier 2 will leverage all available tools, knowledge sources, and data artifacts to determine and document the who, what, when, where, and why of an intrusion, its extent, how to limit damage, and how to recover.
Tier 2 makes the formal recommendation to leadership to stand up the customers Cyber security Incident Response Team (CIRT).
Provide Cyber Data Presentation Services with the capability to design, develop, build, test, configure, employ, operate, integrate, sustain, and refresh operational dashboards and visualizations related to cybersecurity services and data
CSOC Tier 2 will provide on-site expanded 24x7 services
Provide Tier 3 services, which is 24x7x365 coordination, execution, and implementation of all actions required for the containment, eradication, and recovery measures for events and incidents.
Tier 3 services includes malware and implant analysis, and forensic artifact handling and analysis.
While not in a period of incident response conduct continuous exercises and dry runs in order to improve response outcomes in the event of a cyber-incident.
Provide cyber data presentation services on a standard 8x5 service support level
Provide feedback to design engineers and evaluates end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle.
Conduct research and evaluates technical performance of software products and overall segments and systems.
Ensure products and systems comply with requirements and government information assurance and cyber security standards and practices through formal verification methods.
Verify/validate systems with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to information networks.
Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
Prepare assessments and cyber threat profiles of current and planned products based on sophisticated testing, research, and analysis.
Participate in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements.
Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they verify/validate the requirements.
Develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements.
Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and operations officials.
Understands and applies more advanced concepts and processes to daily activities.
Assists more senior level technicians, specialists, and managers in their activities.
Perform all tasks of lower level technicians or specialists
Work individually and actively participates on integrated teams
Provide guidance to lower level technicians and specialists.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen with an Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
High School diploma / GED +8 years or Associate Degree +6 years or Bachelor’s Degree + 4+ years’ experience working in Cyber Security, knowledge of Common Criteria Language, and FIPS 140 standards.
Must have or have the ability to obtain the DoD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II and CSSP Analyst within 6 months of starting.
Works on various network types of equipment and related devices from a security protection emphasis to include installing; troubleshooting; modifying; testing.
Ability to independently build test network or system prototypes, performing equipment set-up, testing, and participating in test report writing.
Ability to develop attack programs to verify security assurance and weakness capability.
Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization's missions, goals, and requirements, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the IA arena.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
IAT Level III
Master’s Degree in a Technical field
