JOB DESCRIPTION We are hiring ! We are seeking dynamic, smart and hardworking engineers to be a part of a world-class microprocessor development team that pioneer innovations for industry-leading hardware in IBM Systems. This will be a highly visible role where you will be an important part of our DevOps team to create improvements and cutting-edge solutions for IBM. As a DevOps Engineer your responsibilities will include :
Supporting multiple global design teams.
Create and continuously improve guidelines and procedures including process efficiency
Provide application development for projects and infrastructure support activities
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for designing large scale multi-core processors.
Build and support Jenkins scripts in groovy and supporting infrastructure
Build and maintain dockers and Kubernetes for DevOps and releases
Develop build systems and artifact-caching strategies to reduce developer's compile turn-around times
Note: Degree specific requirement. "BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, and we are seeking Strong Coding Skills in C++, Python, Perl, Bash."
This position can be located anywhere in the Eastern or Central Time zone in the US.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
4+ years of proven excellence in building, maintaining, and improving CI infrastructure for large organizations
CI/CD Experience (Jenkins knowledge preferred)
Scripting knowledge (python, perl, bash)
Experience with Enterprise IT Environments (Networked Filesystems, RedHat Enterprise Linux)
Build Systems Knowledge (i.e. GNU Make, Ninja, Nix, Shake, Bazel)
GCC and/or VHDL Compiler Experience Preferred
Experience with concepts and frameworks commonly used in CI (REST API’s, machine virtualization)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to solve complex problems.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Background in Microprocessor Development highly preferred.
