Keurig Dr Pepper Electro Mechanical Technician - 3rd Shift in St. Louis, Missouri

Job Overview

The Electro Mechanical Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment suchs as motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, extractors, homogenizers, material handling equipment, bulk delivery equipment, blending/mixing systems.

Schedule: Will consider candidates open to 2nd or 3rd Shift:

  • 2nd Shift – 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

  • 3rd Shift – 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment adhering to all Safety and GMP regulations in the shop and on the site.

  • Performs preventative and predictive maintenance, repair and installation of machinery and equipment, advanced diagnostic troubleshooting, as well as complete teardown, rebuild, and remanufacture of machinery and related systems.

  • Executes daily machine checks, lubrication, machine start-up, clean-up, changeovers and adjustments to maintain the greatest operational efficiency.

  • General electrical work including but not limited to layouts; assembling, installing and testing of electrical apparatus; measuring, cutting, threading and bending conduit; and installing, modifying, and repairing panel boxes, remote control equipment, motors, power and lighting circuits.

  • Read and understand relay logic and schematic diagrams as wells as industrial power distribution and wiring practices.

  • Troubleshoot, program, and/or replace Allen Bradley & Modicon PLCs and three phase 240V and 480V motors as well as Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

  • Operate various power tools including but not limited to torque wrenches, calipers, and gauges in a safe and proficient manner.

  • Insure accurate parts assignments and equipment histories are maintained.

  • Assist the Supervisor in the operations of the lines and in training operators/mechanics on repairs, adjustments and standard operating procedures.

  • Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardize work processes are followed, countermeasures implemented and the area is compliant with safety requirements.

  • Participate and support 5S and Total Productive Maintenance initiatives.

  • Keep managers and supervisors advised of problems and opportunities

Working Conditions:

  • Office, shop and production floor environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, technical school training or 2 years maintenance experience.

  • 1 year experience in troubleshooting a repair of Pneumatic Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLC Systems, Modicon PLC Systems, RSLinx, Process Control Instrumentation, 3 phase (480V) Circuits, Motor starters and controls and electronic circuit boards.

  • Strong written and communication skills

  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to effectively manage time and hit deadlines

  • Reads, writes and speaks English fluently.

  • Possess understanding of machine operations and maintenance.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Typical mechanic tasks which require sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting and climbing.

  • Occasional lifting of heavy parts.

  • Lift, push, and pull 60 lbs. repeatedly and walking for extended periods of time.
