This position is in the Department of Radiation Oncology, Division of Cancer Biology. This position is for the Medical School Campus.
The laboratory projects will involve a wide range of collaborative work involving the radiolabeling of peptides, proteins, in vitro assays and in vivo molecular imaging and therapy studies. Current projects: (1) radiolabeling of peptides for PET imaging and therapy of cancer; (2) radiolabeling of antibodies and antibody constructs that bind to different biomarkers on cancer; (3) evaluation of novel chelators with regard to radiometal stability.
- Ph.D. (or equivalent degree) in chemistry, radiochemistry or a related field.
- Extensive experience in radiochemistry with radiometals for radiolabeling of antibody constructs, as well as other small molecules and peptides that are developed. Ability to lead two to three projects in this area and train students.
- Experience in the following techniques: TLC, HPLC, cell culture, in vitro binding and internalization assays, serum stability assays, and autoradiography.
- Experience with animal handling, tumor cell implantation, and flow cytometry.
Base pay commensurate with experience.
