Systems Engineering Solutions Corporation QA Test Engineer in St. Louis, Missouri

Years of Experience: 3

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required.

Program Description: Create an end-to-end management perspective to ensure proper compliance and oversight of GI Bill programs, and the use of data and business intelligence to monitor and measure school and student outcomes.

Position Description: A Test Engineer must have experience in the coordination and execution of test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures and scripts.


  • Create tests to identify software problems

  • Analyze bugs and errors found during tests

  • Document results of tests for the software development team

  • Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience

  • Motivate the development process for efficiency and performance

  • Works together with the software developer to enhance and improve programs

  • Research and compare similar competitor products

  • Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements


Required Skills:

  • The test engineer must be able to test IT hardware, software, systems and networks

  • Must have knowledge and skills to ensure that test environments are set up accurately

  • Must be able to create test reports

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

  • Complete assigned tasks on schedule

  • Ability to integrate and debug systems

  • Ability to take multiple requirements and create test cases and acceptance criteria to cover the different requirements.

  • 5+ years UI Automation Framework: Selenium, JUnit or TestNG, Cucumber BDD

  • Core Java knowledge with OOP concepts

  • Database testing with strong SQL knowledge

  • 508 testing

  • Web Services Testing, API (Rest Assured)

  • AWS/Azure

  • Jenkins

  • Mobile app testing

  • Katalon or other codeless automation tools

  • Salesforce

  • Orchestration knowledge(Docker, Kubernetes)

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with VA and working on VA legacy systems for Education Service

  • Defect Management

  • JIRA

  • Experience working in an Agile or SAFe software development environment
