Job Type/Schedule

This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

This opportunity is in the Washington University Pain Center and the Basic Research Division of the Department of Anesthesiology, located on the Medical School Campus.

Essential Functions

The Samineni lab is looking for highly motivated candidates to join the effort to develop new therapeutics for chronic migraine headache. Work in the lab includes performing experiments using molecular, cellular and biochemical approaches.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated, organized and have multi-tasking skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer software and general lab equipment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in neuroscience and physiology techniques, molecular biology and/or cell biology would be a plus.

Salary Range

Base pay commensurate with experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological, chemical and radioactive hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide care to research animals.
