Essential Functions
POSITION SUMMARY:
This opportunity is in the laboratory of Dr. Ryan Fields with research projects that focus on establishing in vitro and in vivo models of tumor biology. This is a busy lab which includes responsibilities that support a biospecimen tissue bank as well as experimentations with mouse models and tumor microenvironments. The in vitro model recreates the tumor microenvironment in a 3-dimensional model of vascularized tumor. The in vivo model is a mouse model to study cancer therapy in an autologous, immune-competent environment. The primary function for this position will be supporting efforts of the tissue bank.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in tissue culture practices would be beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain complete and organized records/reports.
- Working knowledge of computer software.
Salary Range
Base pay commensurate with experience.

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.
