Cigna Senior AWS Automation Engineer in St. Louis, Missouri
The Senior AWS Automation Engineer (Cigna speak - Senior Advisor) provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Infrastructure matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Serves as a technical consultant responsible for design, engineering and development of information technology solutions.
Helps lead the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions of projects and/or work requests for complex business solutions.
Troubleshoots and proceeds on resolving complex infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc.
May be involved in the creation of design specifications and the development and application of utility programs and may resolve escalated infrastructure compatibility problems as they arise.
Responsibilities may include risks assessments, partnering on capacity planning, budget forecasting, and the diagnosis and correction of application/network problems.
May serve as the primary contact for vendors. Technologies span desktop, server, network data, database, cloud deployments and services infrastructure.
Focuses on partnering thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
Partner with enterprise Infrastructure team to drive infrastructure decisions for the Cornerstone program, including database, cloud, and environment strategies
Work collaboratively with other Technology team members to support DevOps approach, environment maintenance, data and integrations infrastructure, etc.
Installation of tools to support core application
Troubleshoot issues in non-production environments
Plan and coordinate third party application software upgrades in all environments
Work on custom automation solutions to support the team
Proficient experience and knowledge of AWS services & automated infrastructure provisioning/configuration using tools such as Terraform, Cloudformation, etc
4+ years of experience in an application development environment managing infrastructure components.
This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
