Jacobs seeks a Sr. Graphic Designer with prior Architectural/Engineering & Construction experience to join our team. Must have strong skills with Adobe design software (primarily InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and presentation development skills. This position will lead the design and development of proposals and supporting graphics, presentations, and positioning materials – from concept to completion.

Here's What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Collaborates with proposal team to develop and streamline theme and creative design (including story boards, document layout, supporting graphics, covers, tabs, packaging, etc.)

  • Develop strategic graphic design solutions to support in the production of winning proposals

  • Provide persuasion through layout, infographics, technical and nontechnical graphics

  • Problem solver who can contribute to moderate to complex visual solutions

  • Ability to recognize areas in proposals where graphics are better suited to tell a story

  • Expert knowledge of procedures and technical concepts required for role

  • Acts as a resource for graphic design methods and tools, developing and implementing process improvements, tool(s) improvements, and best practices

  • Shares technical expertise with others and provides guidance and support; mentors new team members in technical area

  • Evaluates and interprets complex situations using multiple, varied sources of information to develop design solutions

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Associates degree in Graphic Design OR a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related discipline from a four-year College/University; work experience in A/E/C that matches the requirements of the position in lieu of degree

  • Minimum of 5 years graphic design experience within an Engineering and Construction company

  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and Microsoft PowerPoint; proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience working with additional creative, visual, interactive, and multimedia tools a plus

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Collaborative and Engaging – works well in a detail-focused, highly deadline-driven, team-oriented environment

• Ability to handle multiple project assignments at a time, set priorities, manage time, and organize work according to best practices

• Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when project deadlines require

• Ability to travel as needed to support sales efforts in other offices
