Senior NA IH Specialist
The Senior North America (NA) IH Specialist position will ensure and support the efficient execution and operation of various industrial hygiene and ergonomic advancement programs for the NA Region (US and Canada). This position ensures that activities and operational methods are established and executed consistently across the region. Activities will focus on subjects such as, but not limited to; hearing conservation, personal protective equipment, new chemical review and approval processes, safety data sheet management, ergonomics, etc. This position is highly collaborative and will lead and/or participate on multifunctional teams including HSE staff and non-HSE staff to execute and further develop programs within the region.
* *YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role,the Senior NA Industrial Hygiene Specialist, are to:
Support the execution and efficient operation of various industrial hygiene and ergonomic advancement related programs for the NA Region (US and Canada);
Ensure that IH and Ergonomic activities and operational methods are established and executed consistently across the region;
Manage the development and execution of programs, policies and procedures in accordance with applicable internal and external regulations;
Partner with HSE and operational organizations to support the effective and efficient development and deployment of company initiatives focused on improving employee health and safety;
Collaborate cross-functionally with multi-disciplinary groups, such as Regional HSE, Site HSE and CHS leadership teams, and technical personnel to establish cost effective and appropriate measures to reduce risks, comply with safety and health regulations, and to realize established objectives;
Actively champion the collection, dissemination, and execution of best practice sharing within the region. Act as a change agent to effectively identify, communicate, and further evolve continuous improvement efforts with the intent to increase efficiency and reduce risks throughout the organization;
Participate internal audits in the role of a Subject Matter Expert, or internal audit support, for Occupational Safety and Health related topics;
Participate in or lead hazard reviews, pre-start up safety reviews, or other similar activities associated with capital projects, new equipment purchases, expansions, mergers & acquisitions, divestments, etc.

Minimum of a B.A. or B.S. in an Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Safety management, or related degree;
6 + years of professional experience related to Industrial Hygiene within the pharmaceutical, biomedical research, healthcare and/or agro-chemical industry;
Technical experience and acumen with Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomic subject matters;
Working knowledge of OSHA general industry standards, particularly focused on industrial hygiene and occupational health related programs;
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with particular emphasis within the HSE community and management;
Ability to manage projects effectively;
Effective organization, coordination and project management skills;
Attention to detail;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations;
Travel requirements 25-50%.
