Systems Engineering Program Manager -Senior Consultant

Are you a talented Project Managementprofessional focused onplanning, leading, organizing,and motivating both Agile and traditional project teams? Are you a resourceful problem solver whothrives in the identification and definition of creative, effective solutions?As a Program Management professional, you will help client s set-up,manage, and operate their most complex projects, define functional requirementsfor technology solutions, and design and derive transformative approaches fortechnology systems working with a world-class team of technology professionalsfrom Deloitte Consulting.

Work You ll Do

As a Systems Engineering ProgramManager, Senior Consultant you will bring strong and in-depth functional andproject management solutions to clients with a focus onachievinga high level of performance and quality, anddelivery of both agile and traditional projects that provideexceptional business value to users.Our projects are both large and complex. You will have the technical foundation and knowledge to work with a coregroup of technology professionals. You will:

Manage day-to-day interactions with executiveclients and sponsors;

Manage and deliver components of clientengagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creativebusiness solutions for large companies;

Manage small teams in the identification ofbusiness requirements, functional design, process design (including scenariodesign, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining supportprocedures. Your background in technology will give you the foundation tomanage these streams but also understand the technology;

Manageseveral concurrent high visibility projects using agile methods in a fast-pacedenvironment potentially crossing multiple business divisions;

Usegood judgment and skill to develop a project management approach suitable forplanning and managing the effort;

Coachmembers of the team as needed to optimize efficiency of the project team

Create and develop project scope and schedule. Plan and assign resources to associatedtasks and deliverables;

Monitor progress of the project, identify andquantify variances, perform required corrective actions;

Manage changes to project scope, projectschedule, and project costs to keep the project plan accurate, updated, asdefined in the change management plan;

Identify high-level risks, assumptions, andconstraints. Implement approved actionsand workarounds to minimize the impact of risks on the project;

Develop and maintain communication with keyproject stakeholders and decision makers;

Achieveproject goals within designated project constraints.

Systems Engineering

Our Systems Engineering team deliverslarge-scale global transformation initiatives focusing on both technology and process,and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, anddefinition. We develop service-orientedarchitecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable informationsharing and management between business partners and disparate processes andsystems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO servicestransformation.

Systems Engineering professionalsfocus on key client issues impacting the core business by maximizingoperational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technologyinnovation. Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including applicationarchitecture design and optimization, application modernization, businessprocess management and solution integration, custom application design and development,and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.


Systems Engineering Program Manager,Senior Consultant candidates are required to have:

Solidunderstanding of software development life cycle models as well as strongknowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles andpractices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions tofit a project and business environment;

5 years of relevant management consultingor industry experience;

3 years planning and managing projectinitiatives in a Project Management Office or similar team environment workingon custom software development-related projects;

3 years of experience with Project ManagementTools such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft SharePoint;

3 years of experience with RequirementsManagement and Traceability tools such as the IBM Rational suite and HP QualityCenter;

3 years of experience translatingrequirements into optimized designs and identifying alternatives;

Aproven track record of successfully implementing projects using Agilemethodologies including 5 years of experience as a Project Manager managinglarge, complex projects in a high-tech development environment withmulti-function teams;

Travel up to 80% (While 80% of travel is arequirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has beensuspended until further notice.)

Must be legally authorized to work in theUnited States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time inthe future.

Inaddition, successful Senior Consultants will have the following preferredbackground:

Experience leading fit gap analysis formigrating applications to Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS),Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or Force.com;

Experience participating in the testing ofapplications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Force.com and/orGoogle Cloud Platforms;

Experience with agile tools such as Rally andJira;

Experience leading small teams;

Experience in work planning, monitoring, andreporting;

Experience managing requirements processesincluding conducting interviews and documenting technical requirements;

Experience managing design activitiesincluding design sessions and defining future state processes;

Experience managing vendors and serviceproviders;

Experience working with and managing onshore,offshore and remote teams;

Experience with industry standard SystemDevelopment Life Cycle methodologies;

PMP certification is strongly preferred;

Prior experience with SCRUM/Agilemethodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. PMI-ACP,CSM, or equivalent preferred;

Bachelor s Degreeor equivalent experience in a technical discipline (computer science,engineering, etc.)
