Responsibilities

Test Tool Development and Automation Engineer will code and generate scripts, test code, support code security accreditation, and documention. In support of the DevOps environment, the candidate will decompose existing business process and test tool capabilities into micro-services capable of deployment through a DevOps infrastructure. Further the candidate may also need to:

  1. Conduct engineering analysis to identify all tasks (both manual and analytic) associated with assessment of system capabilities and interfaces, sensor parameters or functions, or GEOINT services.

  2. Conduct engineering analysis to identify candidate tasks for automation.

  3. Automate selected tasks through code/script generation, or by identifying existing in-house or commercially available solutions (including open-source alternatives); identify opportunities to consolidate tasks or processes to maximize efficiency or minimize cost.

  4. Develop tools that support objectives such as: functionality testing, step automation, continuous integration automation, automated system monitoring, load testing, service virtualization, performance profiling, etc.

  5. Implement accepted automation solutions in the DevTest environment or internal test environment as directed.

  6. Design and develop automation scripts, tools, or applications, and appropriate test scenarios to verify the performance, capacity, and scalability of services and capabilities, as identified by the customer.

  7. Provide the expertise to analyze output of automated test tools, scripts, applications, and processes to evaluate against established criteria and develop a recommendation to the government and product vendor.

  8. Provide expert level support of test automation capable of creating and running scripts within government furnished automation and testing tools (e.g. HP ALM, CA Service virtualization, etc.) development.

  9. Provide web application design, development, and maintenance for test related web, and tools projects

  10. Provide support and expertise to develop custom product quality assessment tools for the full range of traditional and non-traditional imaging systems, products, and data formats.

  11. Collaborate with image quality engineers and image scientists to develop custom product quality assessment tools, as well as to understand and support existing in-house developed engineering tools/code written in Matlab, IDL, Python, Visual Basic, etc.; provide updates and improvements to these tools as needed.

  12. Provide technical support and expertise to use, update, and maintain the existing in-house developed NSG Image Quality Simulator (NIQS) / NIQS Automated Checkout Application (NACA); source code is GFE for CM, maintenance, and future development.

  13. Analyze performance trends and user experience data to identify parameters for automated governance processes that will facilitate a digital/automated Go/No Go capability.

Develop, implement, and maintain an automated governance process in a variety of environments including: bare metal, DevOps, and cloud computing environments

Qualifications

Years of Experience and Education: 11-14 Years with High School, 5-8 Years with BS/BA, or 3-6 Years with MS/MA

Specific Requirements:

The contractor shall:

  1. Increase utilization (additional users), configuration and maintenance of test automation tools in 3 environments with potential for additional tools and environments

  2. Increase completion of external customer requests for performance testing (development and support).

  3. Increase development of automated testing capabilities

  4. Increase development of tool integration
