Systems Engineering Solutions Corporation Test Automation Engineer in St. Louis, Missouri

Years of Experience: 2 years

Education Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required.

Program Description: Create an end-to-end management perspective to ensure proper compliance and oversight of GI Bill programs, and the use of data and business intelligence to monitor and measure school and student outcomes.

Position Description: A Test Engineer must have experience in the coordination and execution of test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures and scripts. Must have knowledge and skills to ensure that test environments are set up accurately. Must be able to create test reports. The test engineer must be able to test IT hardware, software, systems and networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Testers use automation to deliver validations and have 5 years of experience delivering test scripts, test cases and test plans that are in alignment with Business-Driven Development/Test Driven Development (BDD/TDD)

  • Work as part of an integrated team of analysts, software engineers, and test engineers

  • Define functional, integration, performance, and security test activities

  • Create test harnesses based on user and system requirements

  • Create test cases and review peers’ test cases

  • Develop software (scripts) that automate the execution of test cases/procedures

  • Integrate test reports with application lifecycle management tools such as Rational Team Concert (RTC)

  • Integrate automated testing tools with a CI Server such as Jenkins

  • Develop methods to perform automated regression testing as new code is being written

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of test case automation

  • Selenium

  • Java or Ruby or Javascript coding languages(Java is ideal)

  • Database testing

  • 508 testing

  • REST API testing

  • JIRA

  • Mobile app testing

  • Katalon or other codeless automation tools

  • Salesforce

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with VA and working on VA legacy systems for Education Service

  • Defect management

  • JIRA

  • Agile or SAFe software development environment
