What You'll Do as a Restoration Technician - Water Restoration

You'll don the Woodard uniform and head out to conquer a new challenge each day. You will be confronted with every imaginable situation as you enter homes or businesses that have sustained water, fire, or storm damage. You will assist a skilled team to perform a variety of tasks that enable our customers to restore some normalcy to their lives as quickly as possible. You might clean, pack up belongings, demolish damaged property, set up equipment, or perform a variety of other tasks, as needed. You will use tools, walk, stand, squat, lift, kneel, climb, crawl, and everything in between. You will sometimes work in places that are dark, smelly, hot, cold, or that require safety equipment, which we provide for you. Each day will be unique, and you will seldom be bored!

Essential Duties:

  • Perform water extraction and pack out of contents

  • Set up and monitor drying equipment

  • Deconstruct and remove affected structures using hand and power tools

  • Remediate mold using standard accepted practices utilizing safety protocol

  • Ensure team members are wearing all personal protective equipment

  • Safely drive company vehicles to/from job sites

  • Participate team meetings sharing technical and safety knowledge

  • Work independently without direct supervision

  • Participate in our on-call program which includes responding to emergency work after hours and on the weekend on a rotating basis

Requirements:

  • Above average communication skills

  • Ability to lead a small crew

  • Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs alone and more than 100 lbs with another person

  • Class E driver's license or ability to obtain one

  • Must be able to complete the pre-employment process to include background check and drug screening

Shifts Available:All shifts should have flexibility to work an additional 2 hrs. over scheduled end time to accommodate emergency service nature of our business

  • Day Shift A: Monday - Friday, 7:15am - 4:15pm

  • Day Shift B: Tuesday - Saturday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

  • Swing Shift: Wednesday - Saturday, 10:00am - 8:00pm

  • Second Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 12:00am (this shift is eligible for $2.00/hr after-hours premium)
