We are looking for aSystems Administratorwho can support a portfolio of middleware applications running on Microsoft Windows-based workstations and servers. As our Systems Administrator, you will support application connectivity and functionality, perform regular system health checks, accomplish application upgrades, manage assigned incident tickets, and develop applicable documentation. You also will report to the Operations Support team manager and be part of our administrative services technology team and specialized training will be provided. * * Responsibilities * Maintain and configure middleware and server applications. * Monitor and respond to alerts and escalate issues when needed. * Provide Tier 2 support and act as escalation point for Tier 1 support. * Investigate and coordinate the response to hardware failures. * Diagnose and resolve incidents, and document actions taken in the trouble ticketing system. * Implement necessary server patches, hotfixes, service packs, cumulative updates, and upgrades to meet security compliance and application integrity. * Develop and document technical procedures. * Perform system health checks and document results. Track the results and analyze for trends and opportunities for improvement. * Maintain scripts used for reporting and monitoring.
Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree with major or specialized courses in an Information Technology related field of study, or commensurate experience * 3 years of progressive experience working in a professional IT environment * Experience in server administration and middleware support * Experience with a some combination of the following: o Supporting Database systems o Scripting solutions o Using Trouble ticketing systems o Remote management of devices and platforms o Troubleshooting system hardware failures o Testing updates offline prior to installing in Production o One or more professional certifications in Information Technology Benefits
