Job Description:

As an Onsite Support Technician, you will provide day-to-day technical support for end-user hardware and software needs and project-based support onsite at Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC). You will provide routine, technical support and maintenance for desktop, laptop, and network systems including hardware, application software, operating systems, and connectivity. In addition, you will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues and document resolution with support as needed while also repairing or replacing defective equipment with support as needed. As a member of this team, you will also install, configure, and update end-user desktop and laptop software with support as needed, and prioritize and escalate issues when appropriate. Your responsibilities will also include performing telecom moves, adds, and changes (MAC work) for end-users with limited support. Finally, you will use knowledge transfer forums to identify and resolve problems and contribute to all phases of desktop or telecom support, including coordination, monitoring, tracking, and resolution related to client installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate degree in General Studies or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least 2 years work experience with Windows server support and/or network support

  • End-user device support work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in General Studies or related field

  • VMware support work experience

  • Network connectivity support work experience

  • Network printing support work experience

  • Telecommunications experience

  • At least 3-5+ years’ work experience with Windows Server support and/or network support

  • Understand Incident Prioritization

  • Windows Server based applications support work experience

  • Experience using Remedy Asset Management

  • ITIL Certification

  • Lean-Agile methodology

  • Experience in the following areas:

  • Cisco Call Manager, Unity, and UCCX scripting

  • Cisco ASA

  • Cisco network switch programming and support

  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager

  • VMWare Horizon View

  • Citrix XenApp

  • Lansweeper

  • Security Vulnerability Remediation


  • Must live in or around the Warrensburg, MO area
